Head Coach Nina returns for her 16th year as a coach with CARS! Coach Nina began her swimming career with Aqua Racers in 2001 as a nine-year old and was an accomplished four-year varsity swimmer at Newman Smith High, as a District, Regional and TISCA qualifier. She credits her Aqua Racers coaches for developing her passion for the water. Coach Nina has previously coached with the USA Swimming Clubs Lakeside Aquatic Club in Keller, TX and O2 Performance Aquatics in Irving, TX and South Grand Prairie High School, having won District Champions for the 2020-2021 School Year. Coach Nina is currently the Head Coach of the Creekview Mustang Swim Team.
Coach Jon is an accomplished swimmer and experienced coach. As an athlete himself, he swam at New Jersey's most premier swim club, the Berkeley Aquatic Club where he competed at the national level and was a state champion in multiple events. Jon then attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology where he competed in the NCAA Division 1, later being elected team captain and leading his team to their first ever conference championship.
In the past 14 years he has coached athletes at every age and skill level with a goal-oriented philosophy. Coach Jon loves communicating and collaborating with parent volunteers, and more than anything else he loves seeing his students succeed! He strives to create a positive and constructive environment that challenges athletes while fostering a love for the sport.
Coach Amanda considers herself a lifelong athlete. Growing up she played a variety of sports, but swimming was always her passion. Throughout her swimming career, Coach Amanda competed in multi-state and zone competitions and qualified for the Indiana State Championship meet all four years of high school. She went on to swim at Truman State University for two years then joined the Ultimate Frisbee team for the remaining two years.
Shortly after moving to Texas in 2010, Coach Amanda began teaching lessons and coaching with the North Texas Nadadores in Southlake. While there she worked with all levels of swimmers from Mommy & Me to state champions and nationally ranked athletes. After being with NTN for 8 years, she went back to school to get her teaching certificate and coaching with the Lakeside Aquatic Club in Keller. Coach Amanda began her teaching and coaching career at Grand Prairie High School. Under the guidance of Coach Amanda, South Grand Prairie won District Championships all three years she was their coach.
